Longs is where we started, and it's still where most of our routes run.
Lots are bigger here than at the beach, and a lot of the housing is newer construction on what used to be farmland or pine. That combination creates a specific set of problems: wide open sun-baked yards, thin builder-grade topsoil, and wooded lot lines pushing pests toward the house.

Fire ants need a program, not a mound treatment

New Construction Lawns
If your home is under five years old, your lawn is probably sitting on a thin layer of topsoil spread over compacted sand and construction debris. Roots can't get down, water runs off or drains straight through, and the sod that looked perfect at closing thins out by year two.
That's fixable, but not with fertilizer alone. It takes correct watering, correct mowing height, and patience while the root system rebuilds. We'll tell you which of those is actually your problem on a free lawn inspection.
